Today's Hermes Birkin bag
![]() |
| An option from Dior |
As many girls and even boys are aware, the most iconic bag ever will always be Birkin by Hermes. It's known by extremely high price and it is a be-love celebrity bag. You can either get it in various colors made from normal leather or from crocodile and snake leather. Obviously, prices will be different.
Personally, Birkin is something that will stay in fashion forever. It's just the matter of whether people will decide spend the same amount on one Birkin bag or two bags from nonetheless amazing bags from Dior or Chanel.
Today's alternative for Birkin is Celine bag. The average price for these bags is around £ 2,000 and no more. The one that I like costs £ 1,750. It also became a popular bag among celebrities and fashion people. I just want to share with you some photos so that you can decide what works more in your opinion.

1st of June
In my country, this day celebrated as a day of kid's protection.
Funny date, isn't it? We don't really "celebrate" it, but many people are aware of this event, especially people from former Soviet union.
When I was small, it was simply another opportunity for me to beg for a new doll or something.
Thanks to this amazing date, my dad bought me my first bicycle when I was 15 years old. I was quite old when I've learned how to ride it and thanks to my good friend Nurgul, I finally made this amazing step. Unfortunately, I am still not very good at riding bicycle and I remember falling lots of time from it and not only hurting myself, but other people too.
It's a bit of strange connection between kid's protection day and me hurting people while riding my first bicycle.

What would you write to a Queen on her Diamond Jubilee?
I just went on Diamond Jubilee's official website and found this funny part where you can send a message to her. So I thought: Why not?
I didn't think much and wrote things normal people would write;) It's just the feeling you get when understanding that someone around Her Majesty will actually read it.
Probably, she would read some of them;) I might be too naive, but I can't help it. Here's my screen shoot and you can do the same if you wish, they just going to ask you for mail, name and actual question.

Hate myself
I don't necessarily meant it when I say I hate myself . It's just I am kind of now at the point of changing my style and I keep looking for some cool stuff in the internet.
So, I found this amazing jeans in Zara and that's why I hate myself. Unfortunately, the don't have sizes, the smallest size they have is 14 and I wear the smallest size 6. They have similar jeans there, but they don't really look as good as my favorites.
I also once screwed up with some nice heels from sara once! They were made with my favorite mint color- as you could follow from my previous posts.
So, my moral and lesson is If you like something and it has reasonable price, just buy it. Especially when you find those things either in Zara or Topshop. They always have amazing things for a good price.
Obviously, the quality won't be good, but it's just clothes, you can wear them for a year or so and buy something new. You don't want to do that with bags, belts or shoes as it's something that lasts longer. That's why I prefer to buy fancy funny clothes and fine bags. This was one of the first advises my future mother-in-law gave me.
You now can check out things I could have bought, if only they didn't run out of stock.

Bad choice
It was the most annoying hot weather yesterday. Me and my fiancé randomly decided to go and buy an air conditioner. We could simply open our windows, but because we don't have any nets due to the structure of windows, the only way to deal with the hot air is a conditioner.
As we know, today Amazon is our best friend, but when you decide to buy such an important item, you really don't want to mess it up, so we went to the proper store, which was Homebase. I know, it's not a best place to look for an air conditioner , we were around and went there. Our plan was to have a look at how they actually work and then order it online with a better price. However, we were said that we can always bring the item back in next 28 days and get the refund both by card and cash. So, we went for this one, which costed us 50 pounds and it's from "Challenge" brand:
I have to say, it's an absolute waste of money because it doesn't give you cold air at all, it just keep moving the same air into the room. We are about to give it back and go to Currys to buy a proper conditioner. Our Landlord recommended that we could find there a conditioner costed 10 or 20 pound more than this crap ventilator. So, I'll make a post when we buy another one and tell you my feelings about it.

French comedy based on a heart touching story
It is a popular notion to film movies based on true events and it's understandable since the best stories ever heard are those told by real people. Moreover, sad stories are the most strong ones due to the fact that there's nothing to exaggerate.
Just to name some films based on true stories: Forest Gamp, Blind side, 127 hours, Haticho, The pianist, The Notebook, Catch me if you can, The social network, The pursuit of happiness and many more.
Thanks to a friend of mine, yesterday I watched a movie called "Intouchables" or sometimes it's called "1+1". It's french production an with not many known actors. I am not going to tell you the story, but I have to say that it has extraordinary meaning and as I found out the real man told producers and scriptwriters to make the format of the movie as a comedy and just another sad true event story.
Overall, it's a story about a disabled millionaire whose body was paralyzed except neck and head after a delta plan crash. He hires strong black man from rural area to take care of him. You can imagine how interesting story could be by looking only at characters.
I highly recommend to watch this movie as it goest right through your heart by amazingly made funny moments and beautiful pictures. + Soundtracks are exceptional! I am pretty sure many downloaded those songs after watching it, just like I did.

The breakthrough of the year in my country
![]() |
| Original video |
As we know, our youtube world is now totally obsessed with cover versions of popular and surprisingly, around 6 months ago, British singer(originally from Italy) and a young actor from Kazakhstan united together and made a cover version of Sting's song "English Man in New York".
The didn't simply made a cover version of it, but they've changed lyrics with common kazakh words and slangs. The original video was filmed in the kitchen of Son Pascal (British singer) and the song is called: "English man in Shimkent". Shimkent is a small town located on the South of Kazakhstan.
While he played on the small guitar, Anaur Nurpeisov (Kazakh actor) made beat sound with a shake of coffee;) Obviously, Son pascal has an amazing voice and he's pretty good at pronouncing all these complicated kazakh words like, "bratishke"(brother), "chai"(tea), "besbarmak"( tradition dish) and so on;)

Here's the link for the original video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRZkz0hDQDs
Thanks to the enormous success of the video, young men aimed to film official video for the song with spending no money at all. They actually went to the "Shimkent" and filmed local people and even found a car that they sang about. It's a high quality video with funny stuff in it, you really want to watch it:

Boys are now performing both in the UK and Kazakhstan. The even made a short tour couple of months before. I have to say, their creativity makes a lot of people wish that the whole world will know Kazakhstan not only because dirty "borat" fame. Son and Anuar are now working on some other videos and another successful video called "Chaika Aigul", where "Aigul" is a traditional kazakh name and "chaika" mean gull or a woman that never pays her bills and takes benefits from men. Have a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcEs8kQo768
If this post made you interested you in some ways, you can always find these guys in the youtube or simply ask me if you can't find what you are looking for.

The best summer hair color
I've noticed many girls having similar fancy hair color. This style applied to dark hair and the main idea is to color the ends with very light color, just like blond color.
The width depends on how long your hair is, but most of the times, wide contrast works best. What I like about this style the most is that you can play with this levels. You can either have straight top and fluffy end or visa versa. Curly hair works best for evenings. Personally, I think this hair color suits bot long type of hair as contrast is more noticeable. Some girls I've seen also use red instead of blonde, but blonde is one of the natural colors, so it looks more convenient.
I first noticed this look from Khloe Kardashian, older sister of Kim Kardashian and she now participates in both programs: " Keeping up with Kardashians" and "Khloe and Lamar". I like that she uses red lipstick very often and this it is the best color of lipstick you want to wear with such hair. Here are some photos to give the idea of this gorgeous hair:

My easy recipe of Lasagna
I always wonder how funny italian people invented one of the best dishes in the world.
People from different countries always know that Italian restaurant is the best way to eat proper food with meat, macaroni, sauces and pizza, of course. Pasta itself is easy to cook as you can now buy Carbonara or Bolognese sauce in Tescos. I prefer to buy those sauces in Waitrose as they have the whole range of brands producing them.
I would eat italian food every day, if I could. My fiancé hates when I take him there not because he doesn't like, but because we go to all different italian food restaurants very often.
Two things I like the most in italian kitchen are: garlic bread with cheese and traditional lasagna. I wish I could cook real garlic bread with cheese, but it really didn't work well for me when I trine. It seems hell easy to put some garlic, butter and cheese on a piece of a bread and they put it in the one for 5 minutes.
However, they have this liquid mix of herbs and garlic in restaurants that they put on the top of the bread and it tastes amazing! I wish I could find this mix somewhere and I probably will be the happiest "eater" in the world. If someone knows what I mean, could you please please tell me where I can get it from?)
Now, I would love to share my recipe of lasagna that I cooked couple of times and it tasted even better than in restaurants, I have to say.
You will need (approximately, I am not very good in measurements):
-from 10 to 12 leaves of what they call "Lasagna Noodles"
-500 g of minced meat. (can be beef mixed with other meats, but I use just beef one)
-250 g of bolognese sauce.( I use special lasagna bolognese cause from Dolmio)
-300 g of béchamel cause. (also, the best you can buy in Dolmio products)
-150 g of rubbed cheese. Make sure you choose one that melts well.
-Onions and garlic can be added preferably, but sauces give you all taste you really need.
The process:
1. First of all, you will need to mix all your mince with bolognese sauce and cook it on a pan for 20-30 minutes so that the meat absorbed the sauce evenly. The more you cook it, the more liquid consistency it becomes.
2. Most of the recipes you will see suggest all Lasagna noodles to be cooked in the big amount of water before. I've tried to cook my lasagna without cooking it at all as while lasagna in the oven, the sauce actually cookies it by itself. Just make sure you have enough bolognese sauce with meat to cover leaves and especially conners. First time I cooked it without boiling leaves and not putting enough sauce on them, I found myself cutting corners as they were hard and black;) Don't repeat my mistakes.
3. Now it's time for putting levels. You will need either ceramic or glass dish. Make sure you put some oil at the bottom and sides of the dish. As for levels: you put 3-4 leaves of noodles, meat+bolognese sauce on the top, béchamel sauce and again, 3-4 leaves... You can put some cheese in-between one level and use the rest for the top.
4. Make sure you put a reasonable amount of béchamel sauce on the top of all levels. Your oven should be 180-200 degrees hot. I recommend you cover your dish with a foil and make small holes all over it to make it really cooked inside.
Cooking will take 1 hour overall, but 15 minutes before you should take away a foil and add the rest of the cheese. Ta da! After an hour of wait, your lasagna is ready to be eaten, but don't forget that the dish was backed and it's going to be really hot. You can make small holes by using your fork and wait couple of minutes before eating.
Hope you will find this recipe useful, as my friends are totally in love with the result I bring to them!

Gucci vs Guess
Once you look at this photo, you can see that besides similar brand names, these two brands are producing similar, in fact, a copy of shoes but with their own logos. So, Who is right?
Obviously, Gucci is more powerful company and they are most known by putting their print on bags, scarves and especially, shoes. Starting from year 2009 Gucci company highlighted a noticeable similarity and brought it to the court. This was the case with a capital "G" as a logo of both brands and also a red and green stripe within.
For the moment, Gucci presented enormous price to be repaid to them. It was something around £140 million . In reality, the Court in Manhattan narrowed the amount and now Guess brand is obliged to pay only £3 million! Can you imagine?
I think, Gucci is not going to stop at this point as they need to protect their brand name and future products.

The end of the term
In my uni, we have 4 terms which fit with the current season of the year. Each term has 9 weeks in it.
Buckingham's students are now on week 8 in our spring term and it's the most confusing time we always have each term. From one side, this is the week of revision when teachers summarize and explain what will come on an exam, which is good.
However, once the lecture is done, most of people realize there are hell lots of this to have a look at during next two weeks. Moreover, by this week some geeks have already started their revision and they are proud to be more than half done by now. This fact really upsets those who just woke up. Eventually, by the end of this week everyone has their plans in minds. The plan on how to pass the exams and assignments.
Happily, I haven't seen many people who actually don't care about the exams, so, people really do their preparation. Sadly, the fact that person has prepared, doesn't mean he is going to pass. Sometimes nerves get the best of us and sometimes you simply get bad questions, I experienced this before.
Personally, I am fascinated by the exams as I see it challenging and exciting at the same time. You see all these people with the notes and confused faces before the exam and once it started everyone start writing like demons even without knowing what's the actual answer is. Anyway, it's better than just sitting with an empty face or even leaving the exam. (I haven't seen that in my life).
So, cheer up, Buckingham students! We all need to pass it, so we all should try to do our best or at least write everything you prepared;) That's what I do when I have no idea about how to answer the question.

Tuxedos!
I always thought and still think that nothing makes any man look handsome and elegant than a tuxedo.
It's not a normal suit, today, it is more like a longer version of a suit with more shape and nice front. Pants are always similar for tuxedos as you always get a thick line from different fabric on the sides of tuxedos.
Those man who usually attend either weddings or evens like opera or ballet should have tuxedo in their wardrobe. If we compare between the choice women have to wear on evenings and different event, men have no choice at all. However, if you have a nice tuxedo, you are going to feel confident as you know you always have something to wear on your special days.
For now, I approximately know what brands produce beautiful high-quality tuxedos and you might know why from my previous posts. Me and my husband-to-be went on a random shopping one day.At the end of the day we realized that we just spend around £3,000 and actually bought his first and hopefully last wedding tuxedo!;)
I am now going to briefly explain what is it special in each brand's tuxedos you can find:
1. Giorgio Armani.
This is the most classic tuxedo you can get. I bet almost all male red carpet celebrities have worn this tuxedo in the set with their shirts and bow ties.

2. Tom Ford.
This is our choice and I really recommend this type of tuxedos to young men as it's more fashionable and quite non-standard tuxedo. I personally repeat Tom Ford for what he does at the moment as an independent brand and what he did while he worked for brand Gucci. Anyway, we love this tuxedo!
There are many more tuxedos you find in such brands: Ermengildo Zegna, Canali, Scabal, Brioni, Ralph Lauren. These I've seen with my eyes and they are all good. But, I still think Tom Ford is the best option for people around our age;)

Personal statement!
I just found my old personal statement, the essay that you write and upload with your application to universities, you would like to study. So, here's mine and I wrote it last year at the end of my Foundation:
There was a word count limit and the system would't let you have more than 700 words. So, I cropped my first 1500 words;)
There was a word count limit and the system would't let you have more than 700 words. So, I cropped my first 1500 words;)
The one who has ability to attract people and make them believe that
they are receiving trustworthy information is the media. Nowadays, it is
extremely hard to express your own vision or to be heard and supported. Even
having great knowledge and strong arguments, it can be not enough to persuade the
public’s view. The most significant reasons of why these people possess such
influence on masses are: reliable information, its proper exposition and
filtering of data. Journalism, Mass media and Broadcasting are now highly
developed industries comparing to 868 A.D when the first newspaper was printed in China.
Due to progress in technology now, besides newspapers it is a variety of
sources that deliver information, such as journals, internet blogs, TV news,
shows and advertisements. This area continues to rapidly develop and I am
highly motivated toward a career in this kind of industry.
Introducing myself, I would like to say that I am very communicative and
open-minded person. Using my adaptability skills I can come to understanding
with different people. When I was eight, in addition to school I attended
ballet classes. I met a lot of people, even our national ballet stars and that
was my first communicational experience. At the age of ten, I started my art classes
with absolutely different type of people. Involving in both ballet and art
helped me to organize my time, so I can be successful in everything I do. One
of my biggest passions-tennis helped me in improving my health and achieving
aims, as if you want to become successful in tennis, you should be very brave
and self-controlled.
Passage to our country’s capital was a life changing for me. I attended
private school called “The International College of Continuous Education” and I
had an opportunity to work on several personal projects where I demonstrated highly developed Approaches to Learning skills. My school opened my eyes on desire to be
involved in media and journalism. I was a member of Students’ union and head of
School’s weekly newspaper.
Moving to a new culture also influenced on my
choice of degree. I see UK as the best places to work in media because it is a
multinational country and while doing Foundation program I have met
international students from all over the world. IFP was my first experience in
academic works. I was given by a choice of modules. International relations and
politics helped me to better understanding of complicated language of news
reports, ideologies, and theories around us.
Also I took Business studies as
this subject covers almost all aspects of life. ‘Journalism is an economy
within itself’, so this means that as well as business and economy media is a
major area in people’s lives. I used to enjoy studying geography in my high
school, so I picked ‘Human geography’ module. During this year we study about
how people develop particularly in London, its original people and migrants as
well.
‘Today we are beginning to notice that new
media are not just mechanical gimmicks for creating worlds of illusion, but new
languages with new unique powers of expression’ (Marshall McLuhan). I see
myself as part of this ‘new media’. Given the opportunity I am sure I will
contribute a lot to the university and to the field of media, while gaining
knowledge and experience in an area that I truly enjoy.
But the only wish is
not deficient; you need to learn a lot, be ready to probe, make mistakes and
work until you will create a valuable product. Journalist is a person who will
never stop to gain knowledge, learn on his own and somebody’s mistakes. I think
to take an interview or to issue an article, which may move heart and to make
people think, you need to find the mutual language with them first and express
complex things by simple and comprehensive way.
It’s a responsible and exciting
job since the historians are taking care of the past, politicians about the
promising future and only journalists – about the present.
My new buy or Game console's debate
Yeappi! I bought this amazing game "Just Dance 3" for Xbox360+Kinect;)
I played it once and really enjoyed it. Now that we have Kinect for Xbox which is basically a camera that can follow your movement without any additional equipments unlike Playstation 3 and Wii. This option is really work for this particular game as you simply dance and even can see yourself in the termocamera in the left corner of your TV.
In "Just Dance" you get around 60 songs and + bonus tracks when we get gifts. Most of them are new and well-know and some of them have some themes like indian dances, retro, kids, etc. The best thing about this game is that if you have enough space, 4 people can dance at the same time! This is the only game for xbox and ps3 where 4 people can dance. It's great fun if you try it.
As for other game, you can get most Xbox games from computer games. Some of them are even adapted for Kinect. That's why I prefer Xbox rather than any other game console. Another reason is that they provide the best car race game "Forza" only for Xbox! Similar to all consoles, you can play different sports thanks to the camera.
So, it's more about the taste as Playstation is most known and famous game console, but I would say Xbox 360 is more handy and convenient. Full stop;)

Full stop;)

This is an amazing type of photography presented by Ben Heine. You can check out his own website where he has a variety of other extraordinary things: http://www.benheine.com/
Personally, I am love photography thanks to my fiancé as his gift for my 19th birthday was my first camera Canon 60D
I highly recommend this camera to people who are about to start doing photography as this camera is easy to use just to start, but once I've done my photography classes I realized how much options does this device really has. Both beginners and professionals ca benefit from this camera.
In order to get similar photographs to Ben's, you need basic camera, some pencil pictures and a little bit of imagination. I am used to do such things, but I prefer to use flowers and the effect is really unusual;)
