François Hollande and Nicolas Sarkozy |
Shockingly, the first socialist president François Hollande has been elected since the year 1988. A couple of days before we had elections in our university for students union president;) Just noting.
Obviously, there is a crazy debate over whether it is a right decision and is Sarkozy going to appeal for fraud or not. Personally, I would say "change is good' as Obama said. It's been a long time of Sarkozy's rule and he is not the first and not the last leader to fall since the banking crisis.
Once elections started, I thought Sarkozy would win not only because he might have more supporters, but also because he has a better personally and appearance comparing with his opponent. I always believe that during elections, people never listen, they choose according to what they see. It's all about person's image and style. Well, what can I say? Guess french people broke this rule for me and I am really happy people are not primitive as they used to be.
So, let's keep up with France and changes happening from this day after.
