Yesterday I came to his office to arrange an interview and once I've done that I realized there's no way our and there's no way I can move or postpone it. To be honest, I practice a lot before I go somewhere to talk with people. I usually stand in front of the mirror and try different faces and phrases.
However, once the moment comes, I completely forget all things I've practiced and even If I said what I've planned to say, it goes so fast out of my mouth that none could possibly understand it. Isn't it sad how things change when we face reality and leave our perfect world where people wonder about everything you say.
So, I cannot say that this is the case today, but I've practiced and it was much better than in my face-to-face interview. Happily, the lecturer was willing to help and cooperate, so he gave me information straight away and I am extremely grateful for it. Probably as a teacher, a man, he've seen my nervous condition and told a lot of funny things to make me relax and smile. I know, this is something that I should do, but I'll try to work on myself and not only in front of the mirror, but with real people too.;)
Overall, it was very helpful and nervous week as just in two days I've done both my first debate in the class and a real interview. Believe me, for someone it would sound ok, but for me, who has no problem communicating with people, but has no confidence to lead conversation or speak in public, it' was very challenging experience. I am also doing my filming tomorrow and I have to say I really enjoy being busy with such unusual for me things.
P/s My tutor just proposed a new idea for my blog and another great story probably. A Wedding diary! Yappi;) Can't wait to start my first video)
Thanks for reading
